Waking Up

I know that sometimes one of the things that we look forward to the most is getting some rest! Our lives are so busy, and it seems like there is not enough time to get everything done. Depending on your schedule it can seem like you need just one more hour in the day to complete each of your tasks. Sometimes the thought of taking a nap or just winding down for the day can be better than your favorite ice cream and movie! As early as I can remember, sleep was more of an escape for me. I actually would sleep for hours on the weekends and sometimes I would completely sleep the day away.. literally. I realize now that everything about that was abnormal!

Although resting can be the ultimate goal after a busy day, there is something more that we look forward to. When you get adequate rest then you're looking forward to waking up REFRESHED. When you've rested well and it shows, many times people will say that you actually look refreshed as well. Waking up from the chains that were holding me down invisibly in my mind and beliefs about myself and worth was one of the most life changing experiences that I have ever had.

I think that one of the key things that really caused me to see how loved I was, was the fact that so much work and effort was put into me NOT KNOWING HOW LOVED I WAS! Supernatural things have been taking place within your soul (mind, will, emotions) from the day you were conceived, born, and begin to grow up in this fallen world. So many words, environments, encounters, experiences, emotions, reactions, etc. have been molding how you see yourself. Most abused women were abused as children in some form. This is just the next phase of the invisible, yet very present attack against you as you're being abused as an adult.

What was the problem with you enjoying what fulfilled you? Why did people tear down your hopes, dreams, and desires? Why did people laugh or mock when you spoke causing others to join in? Why was it so necessary for you to be compared or belittled while being compared to your siblings or other relatives your age? Why were you the target of bullying? Why did your parents waste no time rejecting, abusing. alienating, or abandoning you? Why did teachers give you a hard time in school? Why did your uncle tell you that you will never be anything in life so often? When you tried to express yourself and do something new, why were you made to feel incapable. Why were you told that you were ugly, stupid, and not important? Why?????

Well, because demons are inside of people and their job is to distort your identity and provide stimulation (attacks, abuse, mistreatment) to support why all of those things are true so that you believe it. You then are on an ONGOING PERPETUAL CYCLE of trying to escape those thoughts, voids, and traumas that occurred from your LIFE'S EXPERIENCE thus far. All of that is demonic. You begin to search for love and acceptance, and we always seem to believe it will be found in a relationship. The day that the Holy Spirit WOKE ME UP and I begin to SEE for the first time, then I ran into the arms of the one who truly loved me and that the enemy never wanted me to find. The moment that I began to love Jesus with all that I had, then the healing from my previous experiences started.

When you start to experience Him as the HEALER, RESTORER, FATHER, PROTECTOR, REDEEMER, COMFORTER, KING, SHEPHERD, and the ALMIGHTY MOST HIGH GOD that He is, then you will know why you were attacked so intensely. Satan never wanted you to know that you were Royalty and that "God so loved the world (speaking about YOU) that he gave his only begotten son" to purchase you back so that he can WAKE YOU UP as to the beautiful things he has prepared for you. The enemy always attacks God's daughters in the hope that they will never wake up. So... today your spiritual alarm clock is going off! So ... what will you do......
